I'm a huge fan of sword and shield movies. Gimme some Braveheart, Gladiator, 300 or Troy any day of the week. As a well as being a fan of video games and free stuff if any of these mentioned appeal, be sure to check out Achilles. It's a flash game done in a simple stylized cute character design but all equipped with blood pools, decapitations and spears through the neck. Need any more be said about the level of awesomeness? Kirin Knapp is an animator and illustrator of www.casuallygreen.com. She is a designer currently based out of Atlanta, Georgia with a consciousness for the environment and animal rights. One of the first people to really get me interested in working in flash, she continues to implement animation into her design. She has currently been doing some illustrations for some children's publications. Last is a fun French portfolio. I can't understand anything here but I do enjoy the thought of a stranded pirate outside a ship as the main page to an artist's portfolio site. That level of fun transcends any language barrier. We've also got a 2 for 1 article special this week with Flashnewz regular, Stefan Richter with 2 excellent submissions for your reading pleasure. Mark Rivera For any thoughts or suggestions for a website to be featured in FlashNewz gimme a shout at mark@flashnewz.com And don't forget to check out our Flash Directory |

Flvmagazine.com Caught Stealing Site Content By Stefan Richter It's amazing how unscrupulous (and naive) some folks are these days. What's the matter with Flvmagazine.com (no need to go there by the way, the site is rubbish) publishing content that's blatantly scraped off other websites? And not only that, but after stealing the content they don't even give credit to the original author. Simon just spotted one of his tutorials on Flvmagazine's website. I had a little dig around - and now I wonder if Lee Brimelow knows that some of his content is also being pirated. Who else? Flvmagazine (by Flvhosting.com) - the company which advertised on this site once and never paid their bill - should get a grip. How About This for Some Fantastic Looking Video? By Stefan Richter Fabio 'Encoding Wizard' Sonnati has outdone himself once again and published an HD resolution video clip on his site. What's stunning about this example is the low bitrate of only 500kbit.sec, while maintaining an amazing quality. Double click the video to go full screen. Nice job Fabio!
