| 05.16.08 Google's Open Social Welcomes imeem ![]() Open Social Now Reaches 300 Million. ![]() ![]() of those applications with imeem-specific OpenSocial extensions, which allow developers to access media metadata from JavaScript. This means that developers build JavaScript, HTML and Adobe Flex media applications that access imeem’s catalog of music, video, and photo content.
The imeem Media Platform first launched March 24, 2008. This includes the ability to get back a specific user’s media, search for media in imeem’s vast media library, as well as get access to music, video, and photo content on imeem.
