I want to here from you, what would you like to talk about? What is going on where you're from? E-mail me to make this newsletter your favorite thing you do all day.
Our featured post today comes from Rick_001. Rick has a website with Google Analytics JavaScript that reports site views. He has been getting zero-second visits to his site, and is not sure why this is happening? Something in Google's code is not able to keep up with visitor's further exploration.
The remaining posts talk about; having a site in English and in French, and want to know if his JavaScript needs to be translated, also? The next post asks whether he should spend his money on Yahoo Directory or Paid Link Directories? Our final post today needs some help starting a mobile website any thoughts?
| Jordan | | Google Discussion Forum Google Analytics: Zero-Second Issue
My client's web site has embedded JavaScript (Google Analytics) for all web pages. For last 2-3 months, there are a handful number of zero-second visits to the site, which has come to our notice (as per Google Analytics Report). That means a visitor who is coming to the site (directly/referring sites/search engines) is staying there for zero second. Moreover, these zero-second visits are more for visitors, who are coming to the site through Google search results. Surprisingly, it (zero-second issue) is there for relevant key phrases for which the site's rank is 1 or 2.
We just checked the web server's response time. It is perfectly fine. In that case what is the issue? Is it something to do with Google Analytics tools? I mean, something is happening with Google JavaScript code, which is making it just impossible for Google tools to track a particular visitor's further exploration of the site. So, it is giving a zero-second status for that unique visit.

| | Web Programming Discussion Forum Javascript in French
I have a website which works in English and French. Both versions have the headers set correctly, and the text changes because it is a selected from a different field in the database.
But in my browser, on a Javascript pop up, I still see [OK] and [Cancel] in the buttons. Do I need to do something, or is this a product of the visitors browser settings?
..and I have just noticed, we still have [Browse] on the image file upload button.

Search Engine Optimization Forum Yahoo Directory vs Paid Link Directories
My website is currently a google page rank 3. I have $300 to spend on trying to improve my pagerank and adding traffic to my website. Is this money better spent on $299.00 to be listed in the Yahoo directory or being listed in 12-Directories that are split between google page rank 4-6? Some of these directories are deep link directories.
